There’s a certain point in life one reaches at no particular age.
It’s powerful.
It’s at this point when you would rather sit and sip the simplest of beverages and read a good book by yourself than be surrounded by others trying to carry on awkward conversations.
It’s when you stop worrying about the stain on your shirt as you walk into that store and simply go in to get what you need without a care so you can go back home and put on your favorite permanently stained shirt.
It’s when you realize you now likely have a new stained shirt to add to your collection because you couldn’t care less about spot-treating anymore.
It’s when your tolerance for meanness is all used up and you’re completely okay with being that person who calls others out.
It’s when you’re making the car and credit card payments and absolutely refuse to purchase anything on a payment plan anymore…debt is so overrated.
It’s when you’re starting to realize how much you have… yet how little you actually need; you wonder what areas you should start downsizing in.
It’s when it becomes easier to ignore the drama-chasers and politics-pushers.
It’s when life-fulfilling joy becomes a priority and there’s no room for self-imposed stress.
It’s a big change, but oh man does it make getting older feel sweet.
